Performance Oriented has provided premium service for Weber triple throat carburetors since 2006. We are especially experienced in providing period correct restorations for the SWB (Short Wheelbase) 911s produced from 1966 through 1968 and are happy to remain committed to this effort.
Each project is tailored to the customer's personal goals and every carburetor is bench set followed by tuning on our dedicated test engine to assure "ready-to-run" performance.

Re-manufactures one pair of carburetors returning your them equal in function to new Webers. Please note that every carburetor is fully bench set followed by tuning on my dedicated test engine to assure your Webers are “ready to run”.

Jetting is assessed with regards to your engine specifications and for your driving application.
If you are using IDTP Webers on a non-OEM specification engine then Performance Oriented will provide counsel regarding modifications to your Webers to mitigate transition drive-ability issues.

Complete disassembly of throttle housings and cleaning of all components:
Cleaning process involves:
Dip-tank soaking
High-pressure washing
Ultrasonic cleaning
Two, high-capacity, steel-infused, self-lubricating, sintered-bronze, throttle shaft bearings installed in each throttle housing
Option: Six shaft bearings installed per throttle housing, throttle bores machined 0.2mm oversize and new, custom-fitted throttle valves installed @ $125
Throttle housing bottom flanges re-surfaced for flatness
Fuel ports re-machined for sealing efficiency
Fuel galleries supplying idle fuel jet are opened, reamed and re-sealed with lead plugs
Top covers modified to control float bowl percolation issues
All jetting components are measured for size, checked for damage and assessed for your engine specifications and driving requirements
Brass components are inspected for damage; de-burred, bead-blasted and wire-wheeled
Fuel floats are blueprinted for geometry, lightly bead blasted, wire-wheeled and leak tested
All removable steel components are de-burred and zinc plated to OEM specification
Note: Studs are not considered to be removable items and will not be refinished
Vent pipes in top covers removed, zinc plated and reinstalled
OEM style, riveted 8mm ball studs installed in throttle lever arms
End-float of both throttle shafts in each throttle housing adjusted
Accelerator pump rods and on-axis lever arms replaced as required
All threaded features refreshed by re-tapping
Accelerator pump bodies and top covers:
Blueprinted for geometry
Re-surfaced for flatness
Bead-blasted
Accelerator pump output is leak-checked and adjusted for parity of delivery volume
Main venturis, auxiliary venturis and fuel pump bodies are de-burred, re-surfaced as applicable and bead-blasted
Throttle housings bench flowed and throttle valves are drilled to achieve air flow parity with air correction screws fully closed
All new assembly hardware kit includes:
Viton-tipped fuel supply needle valves
High quality gasket kit
Tall M5, nylock hex nuts per OEM specification
On-engine tuning includes adjustment of:
Throttle stop screws
Idle mixtures
Idle air flow parity
Fuel float levels
All fuel interfaces checked for leakage

Tuneable Idle Air Correction Jet Modification: $125
Provides tuning adjustment of idle/transition circuit fuel delivery curve
Recommended for IDTP Webers used on engines with mild modifications
Includes three sets of air correction jets
Available in kit form for user installation: $155
40mm to 46mm conversion: $425
Converts 40mm Webers to have 46mm throttle bores
Recommended for large displacement, performance engines

Scheduling:
To secure a service date please send an email to [email protected] after which you will receive your Customer Service Number. Approximately two weeks prior to your service date Performance Oriented will contact you so you may ship your Webers.

Intake air horns
If 40IDS3C Webers as used on the 1967 and 1968 911S then include intake air horns to protect the High Speed Enrichment Tubes that are unique to these carburetors.

Customer is responsible for performing final adjustments to tailor the tuning of their carburetors to their engine.
It is assumed the supplied carburetors are serviceable units removed from a running engine. Units with missing components, seized throttle shafts, broken jet holders or that are corroded and/or dirty will incur cost adders to return them to service.
Packaging and Shipping:
Recommended packaging procedure:
Place each carburetor into its own box with appropriate packing material.
Tape these two boxes to be as one larger box.
Place this assembly of two boxes into a larger box with appropriate packing material.
Have Performance Oriented sign for the shipment at time of delivery.
Performance Oriented prefers FedEx as the shipper.
